Philomena Grovanz, 94, of 319 Oak Street, Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Sunday (January 10, 2010) afternoon.
She was born Sept. 23, 1915 in Russellton, PA a daughter of the late Loretto and Christina DeMoro Gentile.
On August 27, 1940 in Emporium she married the late Joseph Grovanz.
Mrs. Grovanz atteded school in Russellton, PA. She retired from GTE Sylvania where she worked for many years. She was a member of the Quarter Century club and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She also owned and operated the former Phil's Shoe Store in Emporium.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Wednesday (January 13, 2010) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
